Accolades Speech

Around two years ago our daughter was diagnosed as having a speech impairment and my wife and I begin our journey to find a good therapist. Kellie’s name came up several of times as being one of the best around. We contacted her and in a matter of days our daughter was getting the help she needed. After just a few visits we noticed significant improvements in our daughter’s speech and have continued to see improvements each week. Kellie has been a blessing, and we are very thankful for the promptness and professionalism she exudes. Her knowledge and understanding of developmental challenges are leaps and bounds above anyone else we have previously talked to or met with. We are appreciating all she does and are look forward to seeing our daughter’s growth as she continues her journey with Kellie.

We love Kellie as a person, and she is the best Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) our son has ever had. Our son has autism and is now 25. Kellie is the only SLP who could get our son to produce sounds at age 4 which led to words. She used the PROMPT method. She also knows how to engage children on the spectrum and keep them focused. She is a lot of fun and would play games with our son that would naturally elicit speech. We love Kellie and can’t give her a high enough recommendation. She loved our son as if he was her own and worked hard to get him to talk. A+++

My daughter was struggling with saying her R’s. The instruction and help that was provided at her school was not getting the job done. I reached out to Kellie Henkel, for help. She met with my daughter once a week for a few months, and just like that my daughter was able to say her R’s. The speech therapy was very direct, efficient and had the problem solved, faster than had I continued with the help provided at her school. We are very grateful for Kellie Henkel and all her help.

I can’t say enough about Kellie. She has been so great with my son and has helped him and myself so much. Kellie works great with Connor and when he is having a rough day, she takes that into consideration when teaching him. He loves going to her house and learning with her. She has helped me cope with Connor having the speech delay and apraxia and is always willing to listen and help me get what Connor needs to get better.  Connor has been much more patient with us at home while working with him, he used to get frustrated right away but now he says it a few times and gives us a chance to understand him.   I have recommended her to everyone, and I am so grateful that I have met her, and she is helping Connor.
