Working with Kellie has been great! She is very passionate about her work and helping children in the best way possible. My son uses an AAC device and not very many are specialized in that area. It’s been great to have her on our team in helping with communication.

My daughter, now in middle school, loves math because of Kellie.  In fact, it’s not uncommon to have classmates call her in the evening for help with their own math and to hear things like, “What is your picture-maker?” or “What’s the greatest house both of those numbers live in?” Things were rough for years as we navigated learning disabilities and executive function deficits.  She is highly intelligent but could not learn math the way it was being taught in any curriculum.  I initially contacted Kellie to help with fractions, and quickly learned that my daughter’s concept of long division was shaky because she was relying only on procedures that were cognitively intensive and had not been anchored with an authentic understanding of how division worked.  Kellie connected with my daughter and structured each lesson in a way that generated authentic success.  My child learned to trust Kellie and soon found that math didn’t hurt anymore.  I’m so grateful that I found Kellie and listened to her advice.  She understood that the struggles my child experienced were rooted in gaps that needed to be addressed before the next layer of math could be added.  She is thorough, patient, engaging, and in my opinion, one of the top 5 math educators in California.  My daughter’s future shines brightly because of the investment of resources that we made to have this exceptional educator work diagnostically with my child.  Kellie provides clinical, diagnostic math intervention tailor made to the child in front of her and the outcomes are nothing short of miraculous.  Thank you, Kellie, for helping to set my child’s future on a trajectory of endless possibility.

I am a homeschooling parent who found Kellie in one of the Dyscalculia groups on social media. I had been looking for an interventionist trained in the Making Math Real Methodology, as I had taken an overview course from David Berg’s Making Math Real Institute and wanted nothing less for our son.  I was in desperate need of intervention for my dyscalculic kid because despite our dedication to a well-recommended, Montessori-inspired, constructivist math program (which we had used for 5 years), my kid still had a shaky foundation in fractions. I recognized it was imperative for my kid’s success in middle school level math and beyond that we get help; I no longer knew how else to remediate my kid on my own. Kellie met our kid where he was at, and over the next seven months, she has reviewed and re-taught the concept and retrieval of multiplication facts, long division and fractions. It has been gratifying to see my kids’ face light up while working with Kellie, as if the concepts were in his head but the connections not strong and with Kellie, the circuitry finally became intact; yes, the lights were finally “on!” These months with Kellie have been an invaluable commitment and investment for our kid’s Math fluency, and I highly recommend her for your struggling math student.

I worked with their son on math intervention. My 10-year-old son has been working with Kellie for 5 months. I was a little apprehensive of an online math therapy, but Kellie made the process very simple with ideas and links for the perfect at home set up to make the sessions most productive. We are specifically working on multiplication.  My son feels more confident in his math class at school with the strategies he has been taught. Kellie can read him very well and pushes or reteaches when necessary. I am extremely thankful for her services and the progress my son has made in a short period of time.

Kellie worked with my 3 daughters on foundational math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions. My daughters do not have any kind of learning disabilities but struggled with grade level math at school. Kellie was able to teach them the needed foundational skills and are now doing amazing in school with their grade level math. Kellie teaches from a concrete level moving to the abstract synthesis and teaches all the baby steps in between so my children can finally feel successful. They now have other kids coming to them asking for help.
