Kellie is the reason that my dyslexic child excels in math and feels confident in her skills! She began working with Kellie 3 years ago, and Kellie was able to identify that she was using process instead of comprehension to generate answers. Under Kellie’s guidance, she formed an unshakeable foundation in numeracy, four operations, and fractions and decimals. There is nothing like seeing in your child’s demeanor that they know what they know! In fact, be prepared for your child to understand math better than the person teaching them at school. No joke or exaggeration; my child teaches other students when they recognize that the classroom teacher doesn’t know how. Thank you, Kellie!!!!!

Kellie was so warm and encouraging at a time when our daughter was just learning about her dyslexia. Kellie helped her learn new strategies for her ‘times tables’ that really worked. We saw our daughters confide in math increase during her time with Kellie!

Kellie helped our daughter with new math strategies that she was able to integrate into her classroom work. We really appreciated Kellie’s warmth and encouragement.

“I can do anything” after I taught him the doubles addition facts.

Thank you so much! I’m really impressed with the multisensory math intervention you are using with him! He has been working on his multiplication facts forever and I have tried different strategies to get him to remember them. He was a little shaky on “talking it out” while filling in the 7s house, but that was the first time he has ever been so confident with them. He also did the first worksheet page and flew through it. He has NEVER flown through a math fact worksheet. I asked him about it and he kept telling me how easy it is once you understand. He also used it in class today! I also asked him how can he do the worksheet without the house. He was really cute telling me about the 9 lines in the corner of the paper and that if they aren’t on the worksheet, he can use his 3 fingers. He was very proud to explain it to me. Thanks for all your hard work. I knew from reading a few of your Facebook posts on Decoding Dyslexia page that you really know how to educate students, and I would be silly not to seek you out to help my son! I thank you again!
