Our daughter didn’t start to talk until she was almost four. When she did start speaking, it was almost unintelligible. A few months later, she was starting to have meltdowns because we couldn’t understand her. We knew we needed help. A friend recommended Lights On Learning. We found out that, yes, she is willing to work via Zoom (it was during the pandemic), so we signed up. Within a few sessions, Ms. Kellie had our daughter making speech sounds that she had never been able to make before. My husband and I were so excited that we were cheering and praising our daughter so much that it startled her. Now, several years later, we are still working with Ms. Kellie to continue to improve our daughter’s pronunciation. She has improved greatly, to the point that strangers are usually able to understand her. She still has a ways to go, but I think that we will eventually get there, since Ms. Kellie is really good at getting her to engage and try to enunciate the sound or word correctly.I would highly recommend Kellie as a speech therapist. She is kind and encouraging and is very effective at getting our daughter to continue to practice and improve her pronunciation.
